The perfect family session recipe: light + connection + fun

I think every family isn’t quite sure EXACTLY what to do to make a family photography session go smoothly. Luckily for you, I do most of the hard stuff. I have personally selected the locations with the best light and prettiest landscapes. I have gathered all my best resources for styling for those locations. I show up ready to be silly and playful and I am ready for your kids to be happy, silly, playful, pissed or scared (or all of those things over our hour together).

Light

One of the harder elements on your end, is getting your family ready and out the door to catch pretty evening light. As the photographer, golden hour light is my playground, my happy space and where I show up as the best me. Many other photographers shoot at any time of day, so if that light isn’t important to you, you have options there. But this lady? We rally for golden light.

Connections

One of the of most important aspects, you bring. I can encourage connection but if you look for it at every chance in our short time together, you will love your gallery even more. Your kids may act more wild- meet them with play. They may act more nervous- meet their nerves with comfort.

Fun

I cannot make you have fun. I will try my best to make it fun but you also must decide that it is fun, even if it is a fake it till you make it type of scenario.
