Here are a few tips to ensure your maternity photography session is a success:
Plan Ahead: Schedule your maternity photoshoot well in advance. I suggest 29-33 weeks! If you’re newly pregnant, that means your session might be in the middle of busy season, reach out soon!
Choose the Right Location: Consider the location that best reflects your personality and the mood you want to convey in your photos. Whether it’s an adventurous outdoor setting, a cozy indoor studio, or the comfort of your own home, select a location where you feel relaxed and comfortable. Think about how you’ll store/display the photos. That can help with location choice.
Wardrobe Selection: Opt for outfits that highlight your baby bump and make you feel confident and beautiful. Flowy dresses, form-fitting tops, and maternity gowns are popular choices. If you don’t want to buy a dress you might not wear again, consider renting one!
Embrace Your Body: Pregnancy is a time of incredible change and growth, so embrace your beautiful baby bump and the miraculous journey your body is undertaking. They are some of my favorite photos of myself now that my kids are teens.
I’m obsessed with adventure maternity. If you’re comfortable with short hikes while pregnant, mountain top maternity is hard to beat 🥰
