A few tips for in-home newborns:
If you’re scared about lack of natural light, don’t worry. If it’s extremely dark, we can always use the studio. If there are pockets of light, we can use those. My camera handles low light really well!
If you’re worried about your messy house, let me stop you right there. I literally do not care. I will help you scoot the mess aside for the *aesthetics* (yes that includes the giant hospital cup, bottle parts and pacis- all of that is extremely normal)
If you’re worried your baby won’t behave- have no fear. They’re literally unpredictable and I love to roll with their sometimes dramatic little selves. Need to eat? We got you, baby. Poo ya pants? That’s alright! We will get you cleaned up! Need to screech for a bit, screetch away brand new Earthling.
Are you worried older sibling will become feral the moment I enter your home? Good. I freaking love feral toddlers. I have a magic power to eventually get them in the shot even if they have to give me a detailed tour of every book in their room or I have to run smack dab into the wall for a laugh or an all time fav- come launching into the room like James Bond, take the shot and tuck and roll into the corner.
Feel like it might be weird to have some lady you don’t know in your home? Think of me like a very short, temporary, helpful and easy going roommate. I’m a pretty likable gal. I can probably even get your husband to fully explain his tech job while you feed the baby. Fiona: entering strangers homes and putting them at ease since 2011™️
Worried about what the hell to even wear? My texts are open- we can plan it together.
It’s all worth it to capture those very early days.
