Photographing families in the mountains is truly magical for me. We live in SUCH a beautiful place. I get really excited before all my sessions but before a session in the mountains, I have a giddiness- that wonderful feeling when you know you are about to embark on a great adventure.
My mountain sessions take place in the Olympic National Park and I am so glad our state has protected these glorious spaces. One of the most interesting things about shooting up there is that there are always different skies! This family got my favorite mountain sky of the year. The clouds were so low but still so light & fluffy.
I am fully aware that getting to these beautiful places is a trek for the families I photograph. But I really think the results are worth it all!
