Winter is always filled with snuggly newborn sessions I love spending my time getting to know new families and their tiny little bundles. Newborn photos in Seattle & the surrounding areas can be tricky because of the constant cloud cover, but if you have a large window and a bed, we can definitely do a session in your house! The best part about in-home newborn sessions that you get to be in your own environment and baby has everything he/she needs. Dogs can also be included! That said, some people don’t want to go through the hassle of cleaning spaces or maybe their spaces are not fully decorated yet (sometimes the nursery is not quite finished when the baby arrives) and if that is the case, you can also book a newborn session in the studio! The studio is located in SODO near Safeco Field.
This session included one super cute little one week old and two very excited doodles! So many poodle mixes this year! These two wanted in on the action, one was especially keen on licking the baby as much as possible. I always wonder: what do these dogs think about this brand new, squeaky thing! I have yet to meet a dog who has shown any type of aggression towards the baby. There have been a few times when the dog made it clear I was too close to the baby by squeezing themselves between me and the little one. Ha!
If you want the best of both worlds, you can always book a newborn session in your home and then book a studio session when baby is a bit older. For whatever reason, a lot of people book a newborn session and then don’t get photos done again until they book an outdoor session with kiddo is much older. Three, six & nine months are also great milestone timeframes to get another session. Babies change so much in the first year! If you are wondering to have your little one wear, H&M has some cute, comfy staples.
