Back up to my favorite spot, but this time in the snow! Things are just as gorgeous in the mountains in the snow as it is in the summer. Such a fun, snuggly family to hang out with on this surprisingly warm mountain day. I got up there a little bit early to poke around and the trees looked so lovely all full of snow. I am not sure there is much prettier than the warm sun coming through the winter trees. I think if you would have asked this family if the drive was worth it, they would say yes! After our session, they played in the snow until sunset. This doubles back to my number one goal for family sessions: everyone leaves with a good memory. When you tell your kids it is time for family photos, I want them to get excited! If you look at the photos and only remember the stress, it won’t be worth it. But if you remember the giggles and the gorgeous scenery, you will love seeing those images on your walls.
